The Jura Bike Marathon will take place this year on Sunday May 17, 2026.

The first stage of the MTB Alpine Cup Challenge, the Jura Bike Marathon returns in 2026 with a 71 km route and 2,850 m of positive altitude difference, promising a great adventure in an exceptional natural setting between spruce forests, lake and mountains!

Focus on 3 key points of the 2026 route

1. The 8 Contours climb

From kilometer 15.8, riders tackle the famous ascent of Les 8 Contours. Starting at an altitude of 843 m, this climb culminates at 1,200 m over just 3.4 km, with sections at an average gradient of 11%. A physical and mental challenge, where each participant can measure his or her strength against the KOM Strava of the discipline’s champions:

2. The Dent de Vaulion

Starting at kilometer 56.3, another demanding climb awaits the riders: a 2 km climb at 12.5% average gradient, leading to an altitude of 1,360 m. The highlight? A technical portage over the foothills of the Dent de Vaulion, followed by a descent to the refreshment bar before the final 15 km to Vallorbe.

3. An enhanced route for 2026

The 2026 route retains the spirit of previous editions, but incorporates a new feature: a section of singles through spruce forests, offering a breathtaking view of Mont d’Or in neighbouring France.

See you on May 17 for the first stage of the MTB Alpine Cup, and in the meantime, if you haven’t signed up yet, now’s the time, and it’s over here!
