Focus on La Forestière 2026

The ultimate event in the MTB Alpine Cup challenge, La Forestière will also support the French XCM Elites and Masters Championships in 2026. And there’s more to come for this new edition… We tell you all about it!

First changes to note: the date and place of departure!

This year, the final round of the MTB Alpine Cup challenge will take place on Saturday, September 19, rather than Sunday as usual , at the start in Longchaumois. So make sure you’re on time and in the right place at the start line!

La Forestière also hosts the French XCM Elite and Masters Championships. The national titles will be contested over 110 km for men and 83 km for women. These two distances are also open for the men’s MTB Alpine Cup ranking. The women will be ranked on the 83 km distance.

So if you want to take part in the French Championships and the MTB Alpine Cup, you must be registered for the 110km men’s race and the 83km women’s race.

And what’s new on the course? We can already reveal two of them:

  • A new starting point means a new route for the first few kilometers. You’ll be riding a brand-new 13 km start loop, with sections in the Longchaumois Bike Park.
  • At kilometer 22, you’ll face a brand-new climb to the summit of Mont Fier, which rises to an altitude of 1282 m.

But the route also retains its mythical places: the Recula climb, the Col du Merle and Borne au Lion passes, the Crêt du Nerbier, the highest point of the event at 1371m…

In short, another great day on the trails of the Jura and Ain Mountains, celebrating both our new French champions and the winners of the Alpine MTB Challenge!

Join the party and sign up, there’s still time…
