de la Pesse to Arbent

Jura and Ain mountains [FRANCE]

La Forestère is a legendary event on the UCI calendar, and racing at home in France is always a great pleasure. I hope one day to add this beautiful event to my list of honours, but the starting grid is always very tough. I reached the 3rd step of the box in 2024 and I'm hoping not to stop there! But I'll have to dethrone my Team Bulls buddy, Simon Schneller, and that's no easy task! LAUGH

La FORESTIERE is a legendary event on the French calendar. Taking place on September 20 & 21, 2025, this autumn legend is France’s oldest point-to-point race.

For 30 years, thousands of mountain bikers have been setting off into the heart of the Jura Nature Park on RANDO D’OR FFC courses of all levels, from 35 to 100 km, to reach the town of Arbent in the Plastic Valley. La FORESTIERE is two days of festivities, with an exhibitors’ village in Arbent and a host of events. More than 20 starts, with a cyclo-sportive, events for children, a 2-day Enduro and an Elite and Juniors XCO with the new UCI Junior Events label.

The flagship races, however, remain the 100 KM MTB and 75 KM MTB Ladies’, and will be the backdrop for the final stage of the MTB Alpine Cup.
With 2,900 metres of ascent and descent, this is not the toughest MTB Marathon on paper, but the distance, the varied and rugged terrain of the Jura Mountains, and the vagaries of the weather make this event a legend…
New for enthusiasts, the 100 KM can be done as a 2-day MTB tour with FORESTIERE MBF Rando 100 km, a package with accommodation to be discovered soon…

As with the MB Race and the Grand Raid BCVS, La Forestière is opening up to new distances for the Alpine Cup, with women still competing over the 75km and men choosing between 75km and 100km. This choice will be made at the time of registration and will be final.
