The MB Race is an incredible mountain bike raid, a sporting challenge where the mind plays as much a part as the body. An effort that suited me well.
The MB Race was born in 2010 in the communes of Megève and Combloux.
The event has established itself as a major fixture on the international mountain bike scene, thanks to its demanding and breathtaking courses facing Mont Blanc. And it’s on its flagship race, the MB Ultra Somfy, that you’ll be able to challenge yourself in the MTB Alpine Cup.
After a joint start at 6.00 am on July 5 in Megève, this year you’ll have a choice of three distances: 70, 100 or 140 km with 3500, 5000 and 7000 m of D+ respectively. Points awarded in the Challenge Alpine Cup will depend on the distance. To find out more, read the rules here!
This year, the Somfy MB Ultra will also be supporting the French Marathon Championships, and will have the UCI Hors Classe label on the 70km for both men and women. But if you’re simply up for a challenge, you can go even further and cross the 100km finish line, or try to join the exclusive club of 140km finishers!
Are you coming with someone? The MB Race is an event open to all, amateurs, professionals, young and old. No fewer than 8 races are on offer over the weekend: the MB Ultra Somfy, the MB Explore, the MB Enduro, the MB eRando ATMB, the MB FTT, the MB Minimes, the MB Kids and the MB Draisienne.
The MB Race team looks forward to seeing you from July 4 to 6, 2025 in Megève and Combloux.
