I wore the leader's jersey on the first stage of the Jura Bike Marathon and managed to keep it all year long. It was a real source of pride for me to wear this beautiful gold jersey, and this European challenge with 4 great events was a great experience for me.
The event was born in 2019 with the desire to showcase the most beautiful mountain bike spots in the Swiss Jura Massif. Vallorbe is famous for its caves, which contain magnificent limestone landscapes sculpted by the Orbe River. Close and accessible, Vallorbe is less than 1h15 from Besançon, Geneva and Bern.
The flagship marathon XC race has been part of the UCI C1 circuit since 2021 and will be the first round of the MTB Alpine Cup. An attractive 71km course with 2750m of ascent will take you through the region’s most beautiful singles, through spruce forests and two Jura peaks. The first part takes you towards Le Suchet (alt.1587m). You’ll be treated to a panoramic view of the entire Alpine range, with Lake Neuchâtel and the town of Yverdon-les-Bains, capital of the Nord Vaud region, below. Crossing the Viaduc du Day, you make the transition to the 2nd section towards the Dent de Vaulion (alt. 1482m). Although the portage may make you cringe, open your eyes and you’ll be treated to a breathtaking view of the Vallée de Joux and its lake!
And if you come accompanied, the event also offers several courses adapted to all riders [XC 37Km, Populaire 21Km, Ebike sportif 37Km, Ebike populaire 21Km] as well as children with courses adapted to each age category.
See you on May 18, 2025 in Vallorbe (Switzerland) for the Jura Bike Marathon!
