Focus on La Forestière 2026

The ultimate event in the MTB Alpine Cup challenge, La Forestière will also support the French XCM Elite and Masters Championships in 2026. And there’s more to come for this new edition… Come on, we’ll tell you all about it!

First changes to note: the date and place of departure!

This year, the final round of the MTB Alpine Cup challenge will take place on Saturday, September 19 (and not Sunday, as usual), with a start from Longchaumois. So make sure you’re on time and in the right place at the start line!

La Forestière also hosts the French Elite and Masters XCM Championships. National titles will be contested over 110km for men and 83km for women. These two distances are also open to the MTB Alpine Cup ranking for men, while women will be ranked on the 83 km distance.

Please note: if you wish to take part in both the French Championships and the MTB Alpine Cup, you must register for the 110 km (men) or 83 km (women).

And what’s new on the course? We can already reveal two of them:

  • New starting point, new route: the first few kilometers will take you on a brand new 13 km starting loop, including sections in the Longchaumois Bike Park.
  • A brand-new climb: at kilometer 22, you’ll face a brand-new ascent to the summit of Mont Fier, culminating at 1,282 m above sea level.

The route also retains its mythical passages: the Recula ascent, the Col du Merle and the Borne au Lion, as well as the Crêt du Nerbier (highest point of the event at 1,371 m).

In short, it’s going to be another great day on the trails of the Jura and Ain Mountains, celebrating both the new French champions and the winners of the MTB Alpine Cup Challenge!

Join the party and sign up, there’s still time…
